From the Battlefield to the Water

I served 34 years in the United States Army, including multiple combat deployments. Throughout those years — and through the transition that followed — I experienced firsthand what it means to feel unmoored when the mission ends.

When I came home for the last time, I needed something to carry me through. For me, it was fishing. Most people don't know what it's like to carry the weight a veteran carries. But out on the water — when the line goes taut and everything else goes quiet — that weight finally lifts.

People kept asking me to take them out. Veterans. First responders. Kids who'd never held a rod. I took them back. Because Eagle 6 Adventures isn't a fishing company. It's a mission. And the mission is never finished as long as there are veterans waiting for peace.
